Inverter Upright Chiller

The Inverter Upright Chiller is a commercial storage chiller available in 2, 4 or 6 door models to suit different kitchen sizes. All run an inverter compressor with R290 refrigerant for lower energy use than a standard chiller.

Description

Berjaya Inverter Upright Chiller is built for kitchens that need steady cold storage without a heavy power bill, from busy cafés up to hotel back-of-house. The 2, 4 and 6 door configurations, so you can match storage capacity to the size of your operation rather than overbuying or running short on shelf space. All three run an inverter compressor with R290 refrigerant, which is what sets this range apart on running cost against a standard fixed-speed chiller.

Frequently asked questions

Q1. What is R290 refrigerant and why does it matter?

R290 is a natural hydrocarbon refrigerant with a very low global warming potential compared with the older synthetic gases. The 2DUC-IV-Z, 4DUC-IV-Z and 6DUC-IV-Z all run on R290, which keeps the range ahead of refrigerant phase-down rules in Malaysia.

Q2. What does the inverter compressor actually change day to day?

It varies its speed with the load instead of switching on and off at full power. On the Inverter Upright Chiller that means a lower starting current, a quieter kitchen, steadier holding temperatures and a lower electricity bill than a fixed-speed equivalent.

Q3. Why does the insulation thickness matter?

Thicker, high-density foam slows heat transfer from outside to inside, so the unit maintains a stable internal temperature with less strain on the cooling system.

Features

Features

The features on the Inverter Upright Chiller range work together to hold temperature reliably while keeping energy use and noise down.

The 2DUC-IV-Z, 4DUC-IV-Z and 6DUC-IV-Z share a set of features built around one goal: holding temperature reliably while keeping energy use and noise down.

    • Inverter Compressor, low starting current, high energy efficiency and low acoustic level with variable-speed technology.
    • R290 Environmental friendly refrigerant. Faster heat transfer and lower compressor load deliver significant daily electricity savings.
    • Insulation: 5.5–6 cm high-density foam insulation ensures stable, even cooling even in hot climates.
    • Solid Door maintain the desired temperature inside the refrigerator, contributing to better energy efficiency.
    • Effective counter – balanced weight system  self-closing door provides smooth, even, positive closure.
    • Durable stainless steel exterior and interior, Full-length door handle.
    • Automatic defrost system saves energy consumption and provide the shortest possible defrost cycle.
    • Ventilated System assisted with fan to ensure homogeneous coolness in the storage space.
    • High-density Cyclo-isopentane Polyurethane insulated body saves energy.

Accreditation Statement: Our Upright and Counter Range are registered with the Singapore National Environment Agency (NEA) under the Mandatory Energy Labelling Scheme (MELS) and bear the official Energy Label for commercial storage refrigerators in Singapore. Additional models in this range are currently undergoing third-party verification and registration to meet the forthcoming Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS)
